1000 Bay by Cresford Gearing Up For Launch

Back in July we announced that Cresford had purchased the site of popular Toronto Restaurant Bistro 990, located just North of Bay & Wellesley with the intent to build a 32 storey condominium.  Our sources tell us that Cresford are now ready to launch the site, with further details expected in the next 1-2 weeks.  The site will be called 1000 Bay.

Details on the project are still scarce, however, it looks like the original plans for a Hotel/Condominium have been scrapped in favour of a 100% residential building.

The location of the site is very interesting with a prime Bay Street address. Last year, Graywood Developments had tremendous success with their project “FIVE” located just east at Younge & St. Joseph, and Lanterra and Canderel have enjoyed tremendous success with Bay Street condominiums, Murano, Burano and College Park Condos.

The location has potential for some excellent views.  We are most excited about some of the west views that will overlook Queen’s Park.
