199-205 Yonge Acquired by MOD Deveopments
Any Yonge Street acquisitions by a condominium developer get our hearts racing. It has been recently announced that MOD Developments (think FIVE Condos at Yonge & St. Joseph) have purchased 199-205 Yonge Street, currently a designated heritage building with the intent to build residential condominiums.
Existing facade at 199-205 Yonge offers huge potential for a developer to work with
The site, located just north of Yonge & Queen and steps from the Queen Subway Station.
With the current site of 199 Yonge being a heritage building, the developers will need to work with the existing facade and work it into the condominium building. MOD Developments were faced with a similar challenge for FIVE Condominiums and in the end they won numerous design awards for their efforts.
MOD Developments worked in existing facade into a modern tower at FIVE Condominiums. They are faced with a similar challenge at 199 Yonge and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
The current heritage buildings offers a lot of character and we are extremely excited for what MOD have in store for the site. Members of our “Insiders Club” will get first dibs on information and suite selection when this project is released – sign up using the form below!
