Aura Takes The Crown as Canada’s Tallest Condo

Toronto seems to be getting just a little bit taller.

It looks like Aura (by Canderel, located at Yonge & Gerrard) have seen Tridel’s 75 Storeys (with Ten York) and raised them three.  It was officially announced this morning that Aura has been approved for three additional floors which means it will stand a whopping 78 Storeys tall when complete in 2014, and once again takes the crown for the tallest residential tower in Toronto.

It is understood that the three new floors will be slotted into the middle of the tower and the (virtually) sold out condominium will be launching new suites on the 35th, 36th and 37th floor.

Aura will be Canada’s Tallest Condominium Tower, now at 78 Storeys

The new floor count takes Aura to 985 suites in a project that will also boast 35,000 square feet of PRIME Yonge Street Retail Space, a connection to the College Subway Station and a Future PATH connection.

Oh, and the Aura Penthouse (now on the 78th floor) is still available.
