Canary Park to Launch Second Phase of Canary District

The Canary District project is a multi-phase development in the West Don Lands in what will ultimately become the Pan Am Village in Toronto.  Construction for the entire neighbourhood is well underway (and if you haven’t been to the area recently, we recommend you check it out – you’ll barely recognize it!).  We wrote about the multi-billion dollar revitalization last spring when the first phase of the project launched.

Canary Park Condos is the second condominium to launch in the area, and is of particular interest because of it’s proximity to the brand new 18 acre urban park (Corktown Commons) which will officially open next spring (it enjoyed a “soft opening” this summer but will be closed up for the fall to allow the park to grow out a little more).  The condominium will feature stunning (and highly unique) park and lake views all while living in the middle of it all in Downtown Toronto.

Canary District is developed by Dundee Realty and Kilmer (together, known as Dundee Kilmer).  Dundee were a major developer behind the Distillery District and have stated that the commercial and retail component of Canary District will follow in similar patterns with smaller boutique restaurants and stores as opposed to the big box brands.
