CASA2 Details Emerge from City Application
CASA 2 (Also known as 42 Charles East, YMCASA) “will it launch, won’t it launch” has been one of the biggest stories in the pre-construction developments in Toronto this spring. Initially, the development was set to launch in March, but has since been delayed due to red tape with the City.
The initial “word on the street” spoke of a 64-storey mega tower at the site of the former YMCA at Charles East & Yonge, and now the City of Toronto have revealed the application for a 58 storey tower atop a 4 storey podium (total of 62 storeys), housing 570 residential units. The proposal calls for a 202 metre tower – which if accepted, will join an elite group of just 9 residential “200 metre plus” developments in Toronto including One Bloor, Aura, Ice 2 and Trump.
Further specifications point to: 215 parking spots and access to the development will be from a two way lane between Charles and Hayden.
TalkCondo have been following CASA 2 very very closely, and we will be among the first in the city to receive renderings, floorplans and opportunity to purchase. Contact us using the form below to be the first to receive the information as soon as it becomes available.
