CASA2 Details Filter Through

The new development by Cresford at 42 Charles Street East (The current YMCA building) has been picking up some serious steam, and as far as the City development website is concerned the project doesn’t even exist yet!  As with any major development located around Yonge & Bloor, the internet community is buzzing about this development without having a great deal of information (aside from the location and developer).  The development has not yet been named, but for now we are calling it “CASA2”.

In January, we wrote that Cresford were working on a new development sandwiched between two of their previous projects – “CASA” (33 Charles East) and “Bloor Street Neighbourhood” (35 Hayden).  Our sources within Cresford tell us that the project is “definitely happening” and we were given some details on what to expect:

a) The sales event was originally scheduled for the end of March (as reported by TalkCondo on March 1st).  The sales date has now been pushed back until the END OF APRIL due to incomplete floorplans.  We are told it will be “well worth the wait”.

b) The building will stand approximately 64 Storeys.  By comparison, Aura will stand 75 storeys, ICE Phase 2 is 67 storeys, Shangri La is 66 Storeys and One Bloor is 65 Storeys.  “CASA2” will be a HUGE tower located near one of the hottest intersections in Toronto.

c) Prices are likely to start in the low $600 per square foot range for VIP buyers (contact us to register your interest).  This is excellent value for the area with developments such as Chaz on Charles, FIVE and Nicholas Residences all selling in the range of $650-$750 per square foot.
