Developer Buys Stollerys at One Bloor West

Toronto landmark “Stollery’s” located at Yonge & Bloor has sold the highly sought after land to a developer and will be closing their doors in the new year.

Located on the south west corner of Yonge & Bloor, the site is perhaps the most valuable piece of real estate in all of Toronto and is located opposite the popular One Bloor Condominium project by Great Gulf Homes.

Attention will now turn to the plans for the site.  The rumour mill has reason to believe that the site as been purchased by luxury developer Mizrahi Developments (unconfirmed at the time of writing) who are planning to propose a mega tower even taller than the 75 storey One Bloor.

Mizrahi Developments are no strangers to the Yorkville market, having worked on luxury projects such as 133 Hazelton and 181 Davenport.  Both projects, however, we mid-rise projects standing at 9 and 12 storeys respectively.

Other rumours of a huge Apple Store opening at this site date back to 2012.

With proposals in Toronto getting larger (think 1 Yonge, Mirvish+Gehry), we can’t wait to see what is in store for One Bloor West.
