Exciting New Condo Launches in 2016

2015 has been a year to remember for new condominium projects (check out our list of the best condo launches in 2015) and it looks like it is going to roll right into 2016.

Two iconic projects (Mirvish+Gehry and The One) look like they will be coming to market among a number of other incredible locations by some of our favourite developers.  Below is our hit list of projects to keep an eye out for (In alphabetical order)

10 St. Mary Condos by Lifetime Developments

One of Toronto’s top developers, Lifetime Developments will be launching two exciting condominiums in 2016.  The first, 10 St. Mary is located just south of Yonge & Bloor and will stand 42 storeys.  The location boasts both an amazing 99/100 WalkScore and TransitScore, highlighting the central location.

20 Edward Street by Lifetime Developments

There are a lot of eyeballs waiting to see what Lifetime Developments do with 20 Edward Street.  The site of the old “World’s Biggest Bookstore” will become a multi use space that will feature a 35 storey condominium that is expected to launch in late 2016.

The location, just north of Yonge & Dundas is centre ice for Downtown Toronto with quick access to Eaton Centre, Yonge & Dundas Square, Transit and everything that makes Downtown living so desirable.

75 The Esplanade Condos by Carttera & Harhay

75 The Esplanade is located steps from Union Station at Yonge & The Esplanade, just steps from popular condominium projects such as L Tower and Backstage.  The project will replace an existing parking lot and is located in the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.

88 North Condos by St. Thomas Development

88 North Condos is located at Queen & Mutual and is the first in a re-development of a huge parking lot that stretches all the way from Queen Street to Shuter Street.  The first phase will stand 29 storeys and is expected to launch in early 2016.

411 Church Condos by CentreCourt Developments

CentreCourt are following up their sell out success at Grid Condos with 411 Church, located at Church & Carlton.  Grid Condos was made popular by offering incredible residences for students at Ryerson University, and with 411 Church located immediately north of the campus, we expect more of the same here. The project is expected to launch in either Spring or Fall 2016 and we expect the project to be another sell out success.

Artists’ Alley Condos by Lanterra Developments

Lanterra Developments have a very devoted following of investors and it’s easy to see why.  Amazing buildings in AAA locations, and Artists’ Alley is no different.  Centrally located at Simcoe & Dundas, Artists’ Alley will feature three towers standing 17, 22 and 54 storeys and housing over 1,100 suites.

Cumberland & Yonge Condos by Great Gulf Homes & Phantom Developments

A few months after topping out at One Bloor Condos, Great Gulf Homes will be launching a new project just north of that location at Cumberland & Yonge, located in the heart of Yorkville.   Cumberland is one of Toronto’s more prestigious streets and is lined with incredible shops, restaurants and cafe’s and is just steps to Toronto’s Mink Mile along Bloor Street.  Cumberland & Yonge will stand 64 storeys.

Mirvish+Gehry Condos by Projectcore

One of the most talked about condominium projects in Toronto, Mirvish+Gehry located at King West & John will bring a Gehry designed building to Toronto.  The site has drawn a lot of discussion, replacing the Mirvish owned theatres at the base.  The project has been approved for two towers topping out at 92 storeys, which (along with The One Condos) will be among the tallest in Toronto.

The One Condos by Mizrahi Developments

The One Condominiums is another project with enormous anticipation.  Located at the South West corner of Yonge & Bloor, the project will rise to become the tallest residential condominium in Toronto and will TOWER above One Bloor West (which stands at 75 Storeys).   The project design is still evolving but our understanding is that the project will come to market in 2016 – and we can’t wait to learn more!

Yorkdale Phase 2 Condos by Context & Metropia

The first phase of Yorkdale Condos sold out in just days.  Incredible prices, quick access to transit and Yorkdale Mall had buyers lined up for an opportunity to purchase. The second phase will come to market in 2016 and we expect similar success.
