Festival Tower
Festival Tower is a Condo Development by Daniels Corporation located at 330 King Street West in the Entertainment District. The podium of Festival Tower is the 5-Storey Bell Lightbox, the new home of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The 2nd phase of Festival Tower will be launching in Spring 2011 called Cinema Tower.
Festival Tower is much much more than a residential condominium development. Bringing the Toronto International Film Festival under one roof in King West brings all the glitz and glamour that go along with it. Many predict that this development will be a major reason for the redevelopment Entertainment District in the coming years.
During TIFF 2010, credit card expenditure for King West was more than that of Yorkville for the first time ever. With the increase of high end hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, Le Germaine and the upcoming Bisha, there is real excitement for the future of this corridor of the Entertainment District.
It’s not just limited to the TIFF event, either, as the Tim Burton Exhibition in the Winter of 2010 proved. Those running the Bell Lightbox have a number of exciting events planned for Festival Tower that will ensure this area is a major tourist attraction for years to come.
Festival Tower, like Maple Leaf Square has themed floorplans. Instead of sporting teams, Festival Tower names their suites after famous Hollywood Actors. Actors such as Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood and Marilyn Monroe all have suites named after them. The Penthouse suites are reserved for some of Hollywood’s most esteemed Actors such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Morgan Freeman and Sidney Poitier. The largest penthouse is named after Audrey Hepburn and sits at 2,765 sq.ft.
