Flatiron Building Sold for $15 million
While it is not “condominium news”, it was announced today that the Gooderham Building (otherwise known as the “Flatiron Building”) located at 49 Wellington East was sold to The Commercial Realty Group for $15.29 million.

The iconic building is among the most photographed building in Canada with angles offering a unique vantage point of Toronto’s bank towers and financial district. The bright orange, triangular shaped building, built in 1892 was put up for sale in October and was quickly snapped up.
The building will be vacated meaning a single tenant can occupy the entire building for the first time in over a century. The pub on the ground level, Flatiron & Firkin will remain until at least 2015.
