Menkes Planning Two Monster 70 Storey Towers for 90 Harbour
Back in July we reported that Menkes had purchased a 2.5 acre site on Harbour Street just south of Maple Leaf Square for an incredible $76,000,000. At the time we were very excited for the potential the site had to offer (while south facing units at Maple Leaf Square wept that their views would be disappearing) and in the post we had mentioned that there was talks of two 75 storey towers.
Site of 90 Harbour, future home to three new buildings by Menkes
Today we have word that Menkes have applied for three towers, 2x 70 storey (!!!) condominium towers to be accompanied by a 31 storey commercial building. The two towers will house over 1,400 condominium suites.
The site, located south of the Gardiner Expressway will combine with Maple Leaf Square and ICE as 6 very very dominating towers in our skyline. The forums over at UrbanToronto are already buzzing with the news of these super towers, and Senior UrbanToronto Member CanadianNational wasted no time in giving us a glimpse of how these mega towers will impact the skyline.
