NY Place & 210 Simcoe Rack Up Sales At VIP Launches

For those of you wondering what the market looks like it in the “real world”, this past weekend saw the sales events of two condominium launches – NY Place in Bayview Village and 210 Simcoe located at Queen & University and TalkCondo were well represented at both.

The first project, NY Place at Bayview Village by the Daniels Corporation is a boutique development just 8 storeys tall.  The development released most of the suites except for those on hold for the “Rent 2 Own” program which will be launching in September.  The development began signing deals at 12pm on Saturday and was practically sold out by the time they closed their doors at 5pm.

210 Simcoe shared similar success, with their Twitter account confirming that the VIP agents helped the development reach 60% sales on Saturday alone (the development features 294 units, this accounts for almost 180 sales).  A number of additional sales were added on Sunday, but no confirmation on percentages.

So what does this all mean? August is typically a “slow” month for Real Estate Sales and many of the major projects are waiting until September to launch their projects, however, these two developments show that the demand is there and shows no signs of slowing down.

Also, this also highlights the need to work with a VIP or Platinum (pre-VIP) agent.  If you were interested in purchasing at NY Place and weren’t working with a Daniels Platinum Agent, you’re out of luck because the development sold out in just a few hours.  Similarly with 210 Simcoe, already at over 60% sold, you can be sure that many of the “prime suites” are already snapped up.
