The One Condos Design Evolves
The One Condominiums is one of Toronto’s mega towers at its most important intersection (Yonge & Bloor) and has already gained a huge following.
Based on the current proposal, The One would become the tallest tower in Canada standing at 341m, towering above First Canadian Place at 298m and 84m taller than the neighbourhood 75 Storey tower at One Bloor Condos.
The latest evolution of the design is now available with the biggest change coming to the lower levels now featuring a unique diamond shaped pattern and taller ground level space giving the tower a much more grand feeling at the street level.
The tower is proposed at 84 storeys and calls for a mixed use of retail, office and residential.
Perhaps the most interesting change from the new proposal is the decrease in number of residential units; dropping to 416 from 544. 416 is a relatively low number of suites for such a tall tower (compared to over 700 in One Bloor Condos) and indicates the likelihood of the tower being an ultra exclusive and luxury building.
