Toronto Parking Spot for $100,000?

Four Seasons Private Residences have already set the record for the Most Expensive Condo in Canada, and now they are setting the record for the Most Expensive Parking Spot at a paltry $100,000.

Suites in the West Tower come with two parking spots, while spots in the east tower come with one.  Extra spots at the Four Seasons will set you back $100,000

Before we get all up in arms about the crazy price, we have to remember that the Four Seasons caters to a very exclusive crowd.  The price per square foot of a condominium in Four Seasons is two-to-three times the amount of an average condominium in Toronto (From approximately $1,500 per square foot).  In addition, every suite already comes with a parking spot.  The West Tower includes two parking spots and the East Tower includes one with the suite.  The $100,000 parking spot cost is for an ADDITIONAL parking spot.

As Mark Savel (of SavelAndTheCity.com) noted on Twitter “$100,000 for parking at the Four Seasons shouldn’t come as Shocking! It’s like buying a Hummer and being worried about the price of Gas!”.

A few people have suggested that parking selling as high as $100,000 indicates that Toronto is getting closer to New York as the city grows.  I don’t necessarily think that’s the case – I just think it means that living at the Four Seasons; Toronto’s most premium development is expensive.  Very very expensive.
